HUD issued a memorandum today regarding requests from the industry to modify the current lease addendum to incorporate HOTMA requirements.

HUD has advised that they will not be reviewing or approving individual lease addenda submitted by owners/agents. Instead, HUD stated that the HOTMA model leases and related forms are currently under review by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

Until HUD releases additional guidance, owners/agents should continue to follow the existing requirements for manual rent calculations and TRACS reporting. Please continue using the current approved forms and processes until further direction is provided by HUD.
