On October 19, 2023, HUD Multifamily shared a template for Owners and Management Agents to use as a resource to help create a property-specific plan to protect resident life and safety during a disaster. The Multifamily Disaster Preparedness Plan template is designed to guide affordable housing providers through the process of gathering appropriate information and resident input, drafting a plan, and educating residents and staff about the plan.
